Who We Are: Our Story
Built from a moment of isolation. Grown through connection
In early 2020, everything changed.
I’d just separated from my husband. I was 36, living back with my mum and my 6-month-old son, in the middle of a career change as lockdown hit.
I felt completely lost.
So I started making a list: people that I could reach out to, places that might help, numbers to call, and inspiring quotes. It was messy and personal, but it became my lifeline.
And then I thought, what if other people need this too?
The list became the beginning of REconnected.
Today, REconnected is a free community magazine serving all of Leeds and Bradford. We spotlight local businesses, share real stories, and remind people that connection isn’t a luxury - it’s survival.
Because nobody should feel alone when there’s a whole community right on their doorstep.

It’s about tackling loneliness before it becomes a crisis. It’s about keeping money circulating in local economies instead of disappearing into faceless corporations. It’s about building communities resilient enough to support each other through whatever comes next.
